I believe that we all possess wisdom inside of us that is meant to help us grow and heal. My job as a therapist is to help you access your own inner guidance and wisdom so that you may live a life of increased fulfillment. Growth is not just a job for me, it is a life path. It is with great joy that I offer assistance to you in your process of growth.
I have a skill set that can help you draw out your own insights and re-connect with a sense of love, acceptance, spaciusness, and fulfillment that you can draw on as long as you live. I have been fortunate enough to study with exemplary teachers and counselors whom have deeply affected my process of development.
I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and I am also working on my doctoral (PhD) degree. My principal training as a therapist came from the two years I spent working for a former affiliate of the John Bradshaw center. Here I learned a lot about treating addiction, recovery, codependency, low-self esteem, family issues, and shame. Currently I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in the state of California and am being supervised by Stephen Polin MFT # 7861.
For the past six years I have also trained with world renowned non-dual teacher Dr. Peter Fenner as a non-dual counselor and coach. Furthermore I have completed iRest level one training. Extensive research has shown that iRest effectively supports the healing process across a broad range of populations, including for issues such as PTSD
Dr. Peter Fenner has said about me:
"Scott is exactly the type of student who is needed now and in the future as transpersonal psychology continues to grow at an ever-expanding rate within new cross-cultural innovations and experimental interventions. Looking ahead, Scott is precisely the type of practitioner-researcher who will be needed in coming decades as the field expands and enters mainstream psychology and mental-health professions."
